The Lacy piece

I found the Lacy piece very interesting. Reading all of the interviews and learning what they have to go through helped me understand what they deal with from there perspective. The fact that people still refer to schools and communities as black or white bothers me. I can't believe that after all the time that has passed and the laws we are still dealing with racism. I did like the fact that the parents were not letting there children lose touch with there culture even though they were preparing them for the "real world".
