The chicken factory

The Striffler piece was very interesting. I have been to many locations where "mexicans" are working but reading this story helped me to understand it from their perspective .the workers are overworked, under payed, and unappreciated. The workers are well aware of the inequality that takes place at the factory, but they really don't have a say or a choice. They are outsiders who crossed the borders for better oppurtunities. In this article they tell Striffler he is also a Mexican, even though he is a white American. NO matter what race any worker who was getting the same treatment and pay were considered Mexicans. I used to work in McDonald's so I can relate to the workers. I was definetly overworked, under payed, and unappreciated.
